Workshops: Encaustic Play Date
Ninth Wave Studio had its very first ‘Workshop’ on Monday, August 8, 2016. Four Alchemy Initiative artists attended for an a 5 hour exploration into the art of painting with encaustic. In combination with encaustic painting- workshop participants learned how to embed elements into wax, they experienced incorporating mixed media such as oil pastels and paper into their creations and they experimented with a variety of mark making devices and techniques.
